Ecclesiastes 5v19 - "To accept his lot and be happy in his work - this is a gift of God."
The Hebrew word used here for "be happy" is "sameach" which is "to shine, rejoice, joy, be glad".
Working (which does not just mean paid employment) seems to be very important to us as people.  Idleness is roundly condemned throughout scripture - though rest (from work) is commended of course.   Often people with disabilities do not have the opportunity to work for purposes that are clearly valued and this is a major part of our vision (see separate section).
There are at least 6 separate verses in Ecclesiastes about rejoicing in or taking pleasure in your "toil" (English Standard Version).  In fact the famous saying "Eat, drink and be merry" comes from here (Ecc 8v15) where it is linked to working!
Ecc 2:24 says "There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil [hard work].  This also, I saw, is from the hand of God." (ESV)  The term "find enjoyment" could be translated "make his soul see good".  The NIV translates it as "find satisfaction".
The other verses in Ecclesaistes that relate to this are 2v10, 3v12-13 and 3v22.
